I’m a true lifelong kindred spirit with Anne (with an ‘e’) and it’s light years since I read the books. I still have my childhood copies in those orange covers and you’ve now made me go and get Anne of the Island off the shelf and have a wallow!
I have all of them too and every so often I do a re-read from start to finish - I do love Anne of the Island but I think Rilla is my favourite... might do a post on that one soon!
I've read several of these, so I'll have to check out the others! "The Melting of Molly" sounds fun. It's neat to see a Grace S. Richmond shout-out—her books feel like nice, sweet, low-key comfort reads for me.
So nice to find someone else who's read Richmond, no-one ever seems to have heard of her! But perhaps she's more popular in the US? If you like her I think you'll definitely like The Melting of Molly, it definitely falls into that comfort-read category.
Someone else brought up Dear Enemy to me yesterday, I'm ashamed to say I've never read it! I didn't even know it existed. And now I've found it on Gutenberg and am very excited to start reading.

I don't know...I think she's probably most popular among readers who go to Project Gutenberg for their comfort reads. 😂
That makes sense! Gutenberg saved many a boring day for me when I used to do office work 😆
Loved Daddy Long Legs when I was growing up - and the sort-of-sequel ‘Dear Enemy’.

Hope you enjoy it!
Just finished it! And it was great, I think I might almost prefer it to Daddy-Long-Legs...
